Is MLM a Legitimate Home Based Business?
Posted by: | CommentsPeople ask me all the time if MLM or network marketing is a legitimate home based business. My answer is always the same…Absolutely. I haven’t had a real “job” in 8 years and it’s awesome!
Unfortunately, many people have formed opinions based on wrong or incomplete information. Many still think of MLM as a pyramid or ponzi scheme rather than as a legitimate home based business.
Network marketing has proven itself to be a powerful business model. It has provided a dream lifestyle and time freedom to many people around the world who never would have achieved it through traditional employment.
Yet, I hear it all the time from people with incomplete or inaccurate information… “I just don�t like MLM.” Well, I can guarantee you that they would love it if they were making a significant income at it.
I don’t know of any other way someone with limited money and no previous business experience can create a substantial income on a part-time basis. The income potential is truly unlimited.
Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” says:
“Simply put, a network marketing business, with its low cost of entry and great training programs, is an idea whose time has come.”
Today most people have just one stream of income�their job. If they lose their job, they lose their income. And it’s been happening in record numbers.
In the right network marketing company, following the right system, not only can you create an almost immediate income, but a residual income that can last your lifetime, too. That’s security!
Yes, MLM is a legitimate home based business.

MLM Mentor – Does Your Success in MLM Depend On a Mentor?

This surprises most people in network marketing…but I have found that the real key to your success is NOT necessarily the compensation plan, the product or products you market, or even the particular company you join.
If you are like 9 network marketers out of 10, the real key to your success will be the system you use to build your business and the mentor you work with!
A good MLM mentor, with a proven track record, can provide you with the right system, training, and coaching to shorten your learning curve. He or she will be there to celebrate your successes and help pull you up when you are down. You’ll save wasted time, money, and frustration…ultimately resulting in more success.
I’ve seen countless examples of good people in what I consider to be good companies fail miserably, in spite of a lot of hard work. And a lot of times it wasn’t their fault…they just didn’t have a good system and MLM mentor to follow.
Conversely, there are many hugely successful network marketers making a nice living with companies, compensation plans, and/or products that I might not consider to be the best in the industry, but they are successful because they do have a good mentor.
If you are already in an MLM network marketing business, working hard, but not meeting your goals…this could be the reason.
If you are in the process of selecting a business (or re-selecting one), let this be your #1 criteria. It can impact your success more than anything else. So choose your MLM mentor wisely.

Attraction Marketing Is Key To Online MLM Network Marketing

The old-school techniques of chasing friends and neighbors, buying lousy opportunity seeker leads, putting up flyers, running expensive newspaper ads, or dragging prospects to opportunity meetings at the local hotel just don’t work. It’s no wonder so many people fail in MLM.
With attraction marketing, you become the hunted instead of the hunter. Master it now and you can have top-quality prospects calling you daily, asking to join your business.
No more wasting time with whiners, tire-kickers, and those opposed to the concept of network marketing. No more rejection as in traditional MLM recruiting methods. And when done correctly, you can eliminate your marketing expenses!
For years, the traditional approach has been to promote your particular MLM company, usually by introducing prospects to the same replicated company website everyone else is using.
Attraction marketing is all about promoting and branding YOU. And it just makes sense. People don’t team up with companies…they team up with people. People they know, like, and trust.
How do you attract more of the right kind of people?
The most important lesson I have learned is to be a giver, not just a taker. Be known as the one who helps out without asking for something in return. Give people something of value…free training, a newsletter, an informative video or article, a tip of the day, etc.
Learn to position yourself as a leader. Show yourself as someone who can and will help others reach their goals. Don’t hide behind a website. Make it easy for people to contact you directly, and encourage them to do so.
