Today’s article addresses the challenge of how to grow a large and productive MLM organization in a minimum amount of time.

Unfortunately, most training on mlm sponsoring or recruiting focuses on how to recruit more people. It seems the emphasis is always on the numbers. For years, I was a prime example of that philosophy. But even as a top recruiter, my business was not growing as fast as I knew it could.

Finally I realized that the problem wasn’t the number of people on my team. It was the kind of people I had been recruiting. I had been focusing on quantity rather than quality of people. Too many people on my team were not productive.

One of the most appealing aspects of MLM network marketing is the power of leverage. By building a productive team that duplicates the business-building system, you can create a dream income and lifestyle. But the leverage only works when others on your team take action, copy the system, and produce results.

Analysis of my monthly recaps proved what I had been thinking. The majority of my organization’s growth came from the efforts of just a few people. I needed to shift my recruiting emphasis from quantity of people to quality of people.

The good news is that thanks to attraction marketing, it is easy to recruit up, especially in the current economy. Many high caliber people who are accustomed to substantial incomes are worried about being downsized or laid off. For many, it has already happened. Either way, they are searching for a solution.

Using attraction marketing, you can brand yourself as a leader and the one who can help these people reach their goals. Show them you are the one they should be in business with, and they will ask to join your team!

Shift your recruiting focus. Grow your organization and income faster by recruiting up to higher caliber people.

Best MLM Network Marketing Product

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

This article focuses on the essential characteristics of the best product for maximum success in mlm network marketing.

While the team and mentor you work with and the system you follow may impact your success in MLM network marketing more than anything else, the actual company is also an important consideration.

In looking at any MLM company, there are several things to evaluate…the company itself, the compensation plan, and the product or service it distributes.

The product needs to be an essential rather than a luxury item. Especially when money is tight, it’s easy for people to stop buying luxury items. Monthly product re-orders are where the long-term residual income in network marketing comes from.

The product needs to be a real value. So many times, mlm products have been over-priced to create the dollars for the company’s compensation plan. When your customer can go to town and buy a similar product for less, it’s a problem. While price alone is rarely the only factor in a shopping decision, it goes a long way towards credibility for you and your business.

Next, the product has to really work. One of the things that has hurt our industry is mlm products that do not deliver on what they promise. Nothing will damage the reputation of a company and its representatives quicker than poor quality or performance of the products.

And then lastly, and most importantly, your company’s product has to be something you believe in and use yourself. If you can’t get excited about your product, you are in the wrong business!

Carefully evaluate the product or service before choosing to join any MLM network marketing business. It can have a dramatic effect on your success.

To learn about the one product I’ve identified that excells at all of these criteria, go to my website and see how to get free cellular service.

Today’s online mlm training tip will help you maintain control of the flow of relevant information to your prospects as you are building your MLM network marketing business. The prospecting masters in the industry follow a carefully organized presentation that delivers important information to the prospect in a deliberate sequence.

Especially among new network marketers, there are two common mistakes made in delivering information while prospecting.

One is giving the prospect more information than is necessary for them to make a sound decision. This almost always delays the decision to join your business, and frequently results in the prospect deciding not to.

The other common mistake is giving the prospect certain information before it is necessary for them to have it. It is important to not give prospects the name of your company until you have established a relationship and shown yourself as the leader who can help them reach their goals.

As soon as you reveal the name of your company, the prospect will go to the Internet and Google it. No matter what the company, someone will always have something negative to say about it. Whether their comments are factual or not, prospects will look at you and your company differently and you may never hear from them again.

Also, once your prospect knows the name of your company, they will look for someone more successful than you to enroll under. It happens all the time, no matter how successful you are!

It’s important to remember that the right kind of people will enroll with you because of you and your system. The company, its products and compensation plan really don’t matter nearly as much.

People contact me daily wanting to join my business…without even knowing the name of my company, just because of our team’s system and because I have branded ME. Your system should brand YOU.

Plug into a good source of online mlm training. Learn to control the flow of information to your prospects. It will lead to a big increase in your prospecting success.

How To Increase MLM Retention

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

In MLM, retention is keeping new business partners active for the long haul.

A sad fact about our industry is that on average, three out of four new distributors stall out in their first 90 days and quit the business. A staggering 90% of new business partners do not make it through their first year!

This leads to a major drain on your income because retention is where the long-term residual income in the MLM network marketing industry comes from. The good news is that even a modest increase in your retention rate can lead to a dramatic increase in your income.

It is important to note that of those who do quit, better than half of them do so in the first 90 days in business. This is why it is so important to start new team members the right way on day one and help them have success in their early days in business.

For many years, I focused on prospecting and sponsoring, and became known as a top enroller in the MLM network marketing industry. But, for the last several years, I focused more on retention. I found the results to be almost immediate and long-lasting, too. Increasing retention has had a greater impact on increasing my monthly check than the number of new people I recruit each month.

Much of our team training now focuses on retention. Here are the keys to increasing retention in your MLM.

1. Enroll the right people the right way. We teach our team to enroll prospects that ask to join the business. We do not teach our team to use warm-market tactics like pitching friends, neighbors, and relatives who are not even interested in the business. We do not teach our team to sell or close prospects on the business. When you have to close people to get them in, you’ll have to close them every time they hit a small obstacle. They are the first ones to become quitters.

2. Have new team members define their personal goals on their first day. Make sure their goals are realistic. Both you and your new business partner will need these goals to measure their success. Each team member’s success is measured against their own goals.

3. Get new team members off to a fast start. New team members need to make money early in their career for both their belief in the business and for credibility with others. Nothing helps retention more than making money quickly!

4. Be a true servant-leader. Helping a new team member is more important than even your own prospecting. Live up to your commitment to be available for your new business partner. Make it easy for business partners to reach your upline in your absence.

5. Effective and regular communication. Provide essential information, without flooding new partners with information overload. Regular emails from an autoresponder have proven to be an effective way to keep partners in the game and help them get back in the game if they’ve become sidetracked.

6. Recognition. For many people, recognition is an even bigger motivator than money. Recognition can be as simple as a personal email or phone call. For some, edification in front of a group can bring huge rewards. Look for ways to recognize even the smaller accomplishments.

7. Training. Effective training should be available by several means, both live and recorded. We’ve had best success offering training via a mix of live webinars, recorded webinars for playback at the team member’s convenience, training videos, email series, and personal one-on-one coaching.

Shift more of your focus to retention in your MLM network marketing business. It will lead to a big increase in your long-term residual income.

How many people you recruit into your MLM network marketing business really doesn’t matter!

This MLM sponsoring tip shocked me when I first heard it years ago. Now following it is one of the main reasons for our success. And it really is true, because how many team members you help succeed is what really counts!

Retention is one of the major keys to true success in our industry. For years, the number of people who drop out has been way too high.

I’ve seen countless examples of mlm sponsoring superstars making only modest checks due to poor retention. They have as many team members quitting each month as new recruits joining.

Maximizing retention starts before you even enroll a prospect. If you don’t enroll the right prospect, the right way, your chances of retaining him or her are doomed. Not understanding this concept is a major cause of many people failing in our industry.

If you have to “close” a prospect to get them into your business, you will likely have to close them again every time they hit a small bump in the road. Those people are usually the first ones to become whiners and quitters.

For several years, we have taught our team to only enroll prospects that close themselves. We teach a system that gets the right people to pick up the phone and call…asking to join the business.

Our team members have actually built a relationship with their new business partner before enrolling him or her. Then, it’s just a matter of building on that relationship, helping the new person succeed, and teaching them to repeat the process.

Stop making mlm sponsoring your main focus. Sure, it’s important. You’ll always need a steady flow of new business partners. But, you will build a far stronger business by focusing on helping each of your team members be successful.

Big Autoships Hurt MLM

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

In MLM network marketing, autoship is the monthly shipment of product to a distributor. It is usually handled by an automatic charge to a credit card kept on file at the parent company. It is used to maintain a distributor’s commission level in the company by meeting a specific minimum sales volume.

Let’s face it. You’ve got to have some sort of autoship in MLM network marketing. That’s where the long-term residual income comes from. The real power of network marketing comes from leverage. With autoships and leverage, network marketers can earn significant incomes from the efforts of many people.

However, many times autoships slow the growth of, and sometimes even destroy mlm businesses.

When an autoship is way overpriced, when it’s based on luxury rather than necessity items, when it’s things you can go to town and buy for less, the autoship can be bad for business.

Many times, the autoship is just too much of the company’s product. When a distributor is asked to purchase more product than they can consume or sell, it’s a real problem. And it’s just wrong to let distributors stockpile products in their garage or basement to qualify for bonuses.

I’ve always been a firm believer in the concept of being my own best customer. In fact, when a business partner suggests that he or she doesn’t want to use your product or service, that’s a clear signal that partner is not in the game. People like that should not even qualify for your time. They probably need to find another business and sponsor.

The autoship has to make sense. Consider it carefully when choosing a network marketing company. Align yourself with a company whose products are a necessity rather than a luxury. Build an MLM business of solid residual income with products people really want.

Lightyear Wireless Review

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

This article will give you my expert opinion in a review of the Lightyear Wireless business opportunity.

As a full-time networker and leader in the industry, new opportunities come across my desk every day. Most of the phone calls and emails I receive tout the same old thing…ground floor opportunity, cutting- edge product, best compensation plan, etc. I just don’t have the time or interest. Most new companies won’t even be around next year.

However, when I first saw Lightyear Wireless, I noticed something different right away. As I examined it more closely, here’s what I found.

Lightyear Wireless was founded in July 2008. The parent company, Lightyear Network Solutions, started in 1993. Their headquarters is an 80,000 square foot office in Louisville, KY. A member of the Better Business Bureau, they are ranked #19 in Inc. Magazine. The company has stability.

While they have several products, the bell cow is wireless phones and service. Today, wireless phones are a necessity, rather than a luxury. What makes wireless so appealing as an MLM product, is that it requires no explaining, no selling, no training of the customer. Everyone is already sold on wireless!

Lightyear offers both pre-paid wireless plans with no contract, no credit check and post-pay plans with traditional 2 year contracts. I found their pricing competitive. Ordering online is simple. They have partnerships with both Sprint and Verizon networks. That shows me credibility.

As for the business opportunity, Lightyear Wireless offers its representatives 8 streams of income. The most notable are Fast Start Bonuses of $100 to $295 for sharing the business with others, customer acquisition bonuses, residual income, and free wireless credits that allow reps to get their wireless service for free. Bonuses are paid weekly.

The company has excellent marketing materials. I found their websites to be attractive and effective.

Whether you are a seasoned network marketer, or new to the industry, I recommend the Lightyear Wireless business opportunity.
