The number of backlinks a site or page has is an important part of search engine optimization (SEO) and generating website traffic. The higher up a site is listed in a major search engine, the more likely it is to be seen and visited.
However, success with links is not just a numbers game. Link quality is also important. Two factors in the quality of a link are anchor text and relevance. Anchor text is the text you can click on in a link. It tells the search engines what the linked page is about. Always use keyword-rich anchor text rather than “click here”. Links are considered to be more relevant and of a higher value when they come from sites with related themes.

Writing and submitting articles. The resource box of an article provides a place for links to your site.
Video marketing. Include a link in the description of every video you upload (some video sites even make your link clickable).
Social media like MySpace.

It is important to note that these online marketing methods are all basically free to use. One method to increase backlinks to your website that is not recommended is purchasing links from sites that exist solely for the purpose of trading or selling links. The common term for these websites is “link farm”. Using these links can actually hurt your rankings in the search engines.

I am always amazed at how many people do not have the success they deserve in the network marketing industry simply because they never get going on the things that matter. The common excuse is “I need one more day to get this right, then I’ll get going.”
The sad part is they feel like they are busy. All that is great…but those activities won’t grow their business TODAY. Bottom line, they are focusing their attention on the wrong things. Unfortunately, many people have formed opinions based on wrong or incomplete information. Many still think of MLM as a pyramid or ponzi scheme rather than as a legitimate home based business.
Network marketing has proven itself to be a powerful business model. It has provided a dream lifestyle and time freedom to many people around the world who never would have achieved it through traditional employment.
Yet, I hear it all the time from people with incomplete or inaccurate information… “I just don’t like MLM.” Well, I can guarantee you that they would love it if they were making a significant income at it.
I don’t know of any other way someone with limited money and no previous business experience can create a substantial income on a part-time basis. The income potential is truly unlimited.
