Archive for MLM Sponsoring

Few things will have more impact on your success in network marketing than the team you join and the mlm sponsor you work with. Over the years I have found that choosing the right mlm sponsor is a more important decision than even the choice of the business itself. Equally important to choosing the right sponsor is building a relationship with him or her and earning as much of the sponsor’s time and support as possible.

One of the challenges for all leaders in our industry is knowing which team members to spend their time with. Identifying the right business partners will cut down on wasted time and lead to better duplication of the team’s system and an increase in overall business volume.

Here are the qualities we teach our business partners to look for that indicate that a team member is worthy of more of your time. You can use these as a guideline to help earn more of your sponsor’s time.

Show yourself to be a motivated leader or future leader from day one in your new business.
Complete each step of your new business partner training and report your progress to your sponsor.
Show yourself to be a self-starter who does not require a lot of hand-holding.
Develop clear goals and share them with your sponsor.
Show a desire to do whatever it takes to be successful in network marketing.
Try to solve problems or answer questions yourself before asking for help.
Demonstrate that you are coachable by following the team’s system.
Enroll new business partners on a regular basis
Attend all training webinars, conference calls, and events.
And most importantly, ask for help when you really need it.

A good sponsor wants to help you succeed. Take the time to learn how to earn more support from your sponsor. Those who work closely with a good mlm sponsor have a far greater chance of huge success in mlm network marketing.

MLM Sponsoring Is Based On Exposing

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

One of the most important skills that anyone building a business in the mlm network marketing industry needs to learn is effective sponsoring. Recruiting or sponsoring new people into your business and then helping them duplicate the process is what creates a large organization and large residual income checks.

Most networkers still go at mlm sponsoring all wrong. They try to sell people on their opportunity, even if they are not interested. They overwhelm their prospects with way too much information. This turns prospects off and convinces them that the business is difficult and time consuming to build. As a result, their team never grows like it could.

For years, we have taught our business partners to focus on exposing new people to the business rather than trying to sell them. We let the tools provide the information. We train our team to invite people to review a simple website and ask them for their opinion.

Here’s how and why it is so effective.

Exposing is much less time consuming. By putting the emphasis on simply exposing more prospects, it becomes easier for team members to have a much larger number of qualified people looking at their business each week. Network marketing is a numbers game. The more qualified people you have looking at your business each week, the more new team members you enroll.

Inviting people to review a simple website is easy. Anyone can do it, even brand new business partners. Plus it is very non-threatening to prospects and shows the potential new business partner that the business is something that would be easy for them to do also.

Because it is both quick and easy, exposing new people is a business building technique that duplicates. All new team members down through the organization start using it immediately.

Stop hard-selling prospects on your business. Learn to focus on exposing more people and let the tools do the work. You will have much greater success with mlm sponsoring.

Is Your MLM A Secret?

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

Over the years I have watched a large number of people in the MLM network marketing industry fail to have the recruiting and sponsoring success they had hoped for simply because they did not do the simple things to promote their business.

They spent a small fortune on generic websites, voice mail boxes with 800 numbers, autoresponder systems, and other online tools that were supposed to take care of building their mlm. They spent countless hours each week updating one or more social media sites. Like clockwork they attended every conference call or training webinar available.

But they failed to do the easy, and in most cases very inexpensive things they could do to expose the people they already knew or came in contact with on a regular basis to their opportunity. They avoided anything that might result in face to face contact with a prospect. In fact, in many cases, it was almost like they were keeping their MLM a secret!

While our team specializes in using the Internet to build the business, there are a number of simple and low-cost marketing techniques we teach our team to use in their local market. These are so effective that they are part of our initial training for new business partners. They can bring immediate results to new team members while they are learning to master the Internet.

Here are some of the local marketing techniques that are often overlooked.

Send a personal letter to friends and family. Let them know you have started a new business. Invite them to look at your website. Ask for their feedback and any suggestions on who you might be able to help with it.

Add a signature file to the bottom of every email you send. Keep it brief. Include your website. Most email programs will do this automatically for you.

Put your website address on your cars. Check both online sources and at your local print shop. Vinyl lettering is very inexpensive.

Drop cards, sometimes called sizzle cards, are a brief classified ad placed on a business card. Drop cards are very low-cost. There are a number of online companies where you can design your own card. Look for places to leave drop cards as you go about your daily routine. Include one in all outgoing mail.

Take advantage of the many simple, low cost ways to promote your business. Recruiting and sponsoring will be much more effective if you stop keeping your MLM a secret!

Competition in MLM is becoming more intense as the network marketing model continues to grow in popularity. Even if you are not using an online mlm sponsoring system, it is possible to get ahead of mlm competition just by outworking other people.

Many networkers are still trying to build their network marketing business using the old school technique of buying network marketing leads and contacting them by telephone. What they could do is buy more leads so they talk to more prospects than the competition does, get better at using their phone script, and become a stronger closer.

If you are building your business using a warm market approach, you could talk to more prospects each day and do a better job of following up with them afterward to get ahead of the competition.

If your main marketing method is distributing flyers or sizzle cards, or using direct mail, you could design a more effective sales piece and consistently distribute more of them than other network marketers do.

For networkers who focus on hotel meetings or home parties to build their business, it’s a matter of increasing the number of meetings, increasing the attendance at each one, and learning how to close a higher percentage of prospects at each event.

Again, no matter how you choose to build your business, you can get ahead of the competition by outworking them. However, over the years I have found that it is far easier to outwork the competition by learning how to build your business online.

We have had tremendous success teaching our team to use an online mlm sponsoring system. It levels the playing field for team members of all experience levels. It allows them to brand themselves as leaders in the industry, demonstrate a proven marketing system anyone can follow, and have motivated prospects calling them for more information on joining their business. Ultimately they end up sponsoring more top-quality business partners than their competition.

Rather than working harder, learn to work smarter. Find a good online mlm sponsoring system and use it to eliminate your mlm competition.

Here’s the one I recommend and use myself: Online MLM Sponsoring System.

In previous articles, I have outlined the benefits of using a good online mlm sponsoring system to build your network marketing business. I have used them for years and have had great success with them. I have even designed a few myself. The good ones consistently bring excellent results. We encourage all of our team members to use one.

In today’s article, I want to outline the three major negatives to avoid when selecting or using an online mlm sponsoring system.

1. Systems that brand the creator. One of the biggest benefits to using an online system is branding YOU. It makes no sense to spend your marketing effort or budget to brand someone else. If the system you are evaluating is not easy to customize so that it brands you, do not use it.

2. Systems tied to a specific opportunity or company. Successful attraction marketing is all about branding you, not your company. If for any reason, you find yourself building a different business in the future, you will want to be able to seamlessly shift all of your marketing effort to that new business. If you have been promoting your company rather than yourself, you will be faced with starting your marketing campaign all over again. All of your hard work will be wasted.

3. Systems based on too many affiliate programs or affiliate programs that pay the creator rather than you. One of the benefits of a good online mlm sponsoring system is the concept of a funded proposal. That way, even if a prospect does not join your networking opportunity, you still have the ability to generate a cash flow from him or her. However, systems based on too many affiliate deals not only turn people off, they also shift your focus from building your network marketing business to becoming an affiliate marketer. The primary purpose of the system should always be to build your mlm.

Choose your system carefully and avoid these three major pitfalls. You can create massive success in your network marketing business with the right online mlm sponsoring system.

Here’s the one I recommend and use myself: Online MLM Sponsoring System.

Lightyear Wireless Sponsoring

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

One of the most important tasks in Lightyear Wireless or any other mlm network marketing opportunity is sponsoring a large number of quality prospects into the business.

In fact, learning effective mlm sponsoring is so important that our team’s training focuses on helping each new business partner sponsor at least one new team member in their first 24 hours in the business. Over the years I have found that helping new team members sponsor business partners quickly contributes more to their long-term success than almost anything else we can teach them.

When you break it down, there are really only three key steps to maximizing your sponsoring success.

1. Expose new people to the business. This is the most critical step, yet the one most often short-changed by new network marketers. Almost every time a business partner is not earning the income they want to, it comes down to them not exposing enough good prospects to their business each day.

We teach our team how to build their Lightyear Wireless business both on and off the Internet. Over the long haul, the Internet is where we find the most top-quality people. However, for immediate results, we teach our team how to expose people they already know to the business. It’s actually very simple, even for first timers, if the emphasis is on exposing prospects rather than trying to sell or convince them.

For best results in exposing the business to people, your system must include simple, automated tools that introduce the necessary information rather than rely on the business partner personally sharing the information. Additionally, using these tools shows the prospect how simple the business really is.

2. Follow up with prospects. Once a prospect has been exposed to the business information, it is critical that you follow up with them. If you wait for the prospect to follow up with you, you will miss the majority of your enrollment opportunities. While the easy way to follow up is by email, the most effective ways are either in person or by telephone. The other important part of effective follow up is timeliness. The longer you wait to follow up, the less your chances are of sponsoring the prospect.

3. Enroll prospects and immediately train them to duplicate the process. As soon as your new business partner is enrolled into your business, it is vital that you plug him or her into your team’s training system and help them have sponsoring success.

Learn these key steps on how to increase your mlm sponsoring rate and you can have massive success in Lightyear Wireless.

While our team specializes in online mlm sponsoring, it is still critical for new business partners to learn to build their business locally and with people they know (we call this your warm market). In fact, our day one training for new team members focuses on local and warm market prospecting for several reasons. It’s free, effective, easy to do, and it can generate immediate results if you know how to do it right.

The main reason most people avoid working their local or warm market is, they do not know what to say to prospects.

Here are my two favorite ways to approach local prospects and people you know. Both work equally well with friends and strangers alike. We teach our team to master both of them by practicing on a friend or family member before using them.

The sole purpose of both approaches is to get the prospect to ask you for more information. And this is where most inexperienced network marketers miss it. They think they have to pitch their opportunity, when really all they need to do is provide more information after prospects ask for it.

Approach 1. “I could use your help. I have a business I work from home. We grow by referral only. Who do you know that might be interested in __________ .”

You can fill in the blank with one of several options. For example: making additional income, firing their boss, retiring while they are still young, learning how to eliminate their phone bill, etc. I have found that almost every time I use this approach, the prospect responds with something like: “I am. What’s it all about?”

Approach 2. I get people to ask me what I do for a living. And it’s surprisingly simple to do. All I do is start by asking them what they do for a living. Nine times out of ten, as soon as a prospect tells you what they do, they will follow up by asking what you do for a living.

In either case, once the prospect asks for more information, you have an open invitation to introduce them to your business. Presenting your opportunity is a topic in itself and is covered in a separate mlm sponsoring article.

Learn to master these simple local and warm market approaches. Then step outside of your comfort zone and start striking up conversations with friends and complete strangers alike. You can easily have them asking for more information about your business. The right approaches make mlm sponsoring easy!

Skeptics And MLM Sponsoring

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

MLM sponsoring is one of the key skills you need to master to create big success in our industry.

However, it’s not just a numbers game. Enrolling the wrong prospects can actually work against you. You can waste valuable time and energy that could be spent mentoring other team members who are more likely to be productive.

One of the things I really like about network marketing and the way we train our team to build their business is that you can be very selective about who you bring onto your team. I do not try to enroll every lead that comes along. In fact, I’ve learned to be quick to disqualify prospects who don’t measure up to certain standards.

Many prospects are a little skeptical. And that’s OK…to a point. But, if a lead is going to require a lot of convincing, we train our team members to let someone else sponsor them into their mlm.

Over the years I have learned that hard core skeptics are typically the ones who will require more of my time, be more likely to be excuse-makers, and require re-convincing over and over again. It’s just not worth enrolling them.

Here are the three mlm sponsoring principles we teach our team to make dealing with skeptical prospects easier:

Rather than focus on numbers, focus on bringing team-builders into your business. It’s definitely more important to look for quality business partners.

No single potential business partner will make or break your business. Do not allow yourself to become emotionally attached to sponsoring anyone. Always be ready to disqualify a prospect and move on.

You are not here to try to convince anyone. Put prospects through your information pipeline. Answer their questions. Follow up with them. If they are still skeptical, let them go.

Learn how to handle skeptical prospects. It can lead to a huge improvement in your mlm sponsoring!

Be Prepared For MLM Sponsoring

Posted by: Joe Barclay | Comments (0)

One of the real keys to massive MLM sponsoring is always being prepared to follow through and sponsor prospects on the spur of the moment. Whether a good prospect comes along online or offline, if you are not totally equipped to immediately follow up with that prospect in a professional and efficient manner, you are missing opportunities to build your business.

Nothing will brand you as an amateur faster than telling a hot prospect that you will have to get back with them. And then when you finally do follow up with that lead, they will have either lost interest in your opportunity or found a more skilled sponsor to work with.

I am always amazed at how many network marketers are not always prepared ahead of time, even though it is very quick and simple to do. In fact, most of your preparation can and should be completed the very first day you are in an mlm business.

Do not let your eagerness to build a new business cause you to skip some simple preparations. It will actually save you a tremendous amount of time later on.

And when you do have the follow-up tools in place, you really do not need to know that much about your company to have huge success anyway. Over the years I have found that letting the tools do the talking brings far better results for both new networkers and seasoned veterans alike. And letting the tools do the talking shows the prospect that they can easily work the business from day one also.

Here is a short list of the kinds of follow-up tools to have ready for both online and offline mlm sponsoring. While there is no need to use all of these tools, be sure you are always prepared with a few.

Business cards, drop cards, flyers, magazines, dvds, brochures, applications. Always be ready to leave physical materials with prospects you meet in person.

Pre-written follow up emails, links to landing pages or information pages, and your company sign-up page. Have these ready ahead of time for online or telephone prospects.

Scripts of what to say and the phone numbers for upline support and 3 way calling for both online and offline prospects.

If you do not have these tools in place, get with your sponsor today. Be sure that the next time your phone rings, an email comes in, a landing page opt-in hits your inbox, or you run into a great prospect at the grocery store, you are ready to follow through with them. It will lead to big success in your mlm sponsoring.
